About the Event
On Saturday, January 9, 2021 the Ghost Trap Rodeo is coming to Apalachicola!
The FREE event will be held at Ten Foot Hole Boat Ramp between 8am and 12pm (noon).
Upon arrival, participants will check in, receive their swag bags and supplies, and receive a short FWC training on proper removal of marine debris and derelict traps (as all fishable traps and baitfish traps must be left in place). Supplies will consist of a tarp, gloves, tin snips, burlap sacks for small debris, and more. After the completion of the four-hour search, participants will return for free lunch, weigh-in of their debris, and prize ceremony based on leaderboard position.
